Given the diverse areas that OTN reaches, there will be a number of government departments that will benefit from the information. For example, Canada’s Department of Fisheries and Oceans and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in the United States are participating in this endeavour.
OTN scientists are applying for $35-million from the Canadian Foundation for Innovation for the initial purchase of the hardware.
